Greetings to our family and friends around the world.
January 1 marked our New Year of 2021 and February 12 marks our Lunar New Year of the Bull (牛 Ox). This means we enter a period of hard work in recovery, honesty, confidence and eagerness. Wonderful ethics and emotions to embrace after the turmoil of 2020.
Although with limitations, we emerge from the previous year having earned a “proof of concept” with remote learning via multiple video conferencing platforms. Groups and individuals continued to grow, making lemonade from lemons. We survived strong divisions in relationships along many levels. We identified issues and resolved others, in our communication matrix efficiently and effectively with our various constituents and we now come forth stronger. In 2020 we learned so many lessons in protecting ourselves and how to protect others.
My 2021 wish for all is, stability in your life and I pray for nourishment of your soul.
We have a great two years ahead and look forward to Karate in the Tokyo 202One Olympics as well as the 50th Anniversary of both Seiwakai Gōjūryū Karatedō and the JKF Gojukai in 2022.
Be safe, stay positive and test negative.
Warmest wishes,
Johnpaul Williams
