2024 Session September – December Menlopark.org Activity-Guide-and-registration

Register for Karate training in Menlo Park at the Arrillaga Recreation 700 Alma St, Menlo Park, CA. A short walk from Sharon Heights, Sand Hill Road, Stanford University, Palo Alto, Woodside and Atherton. Our facility is just across the street from the Menlo Park train station and a short drive from Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Mateo Atherton and Mountain View.

SUMMER SEASON

September 9th – December 9th 2024 Arrillaga Recreation Willow Room 700 Alma St, Menlo Park, CA.	5:45 pm – Monday Beginners Traditional Karate. Best class for beginners with absolutely no previous martial art experience.	Register
September 9th – December 9th 2024 Arrillaga Recreation Willow Room 700 Alma St, Menlo Park, CA.	7:00 pm – Mondays Experienced Traditional Karate. Beginners may attend the experienced class and vice versa with instructor approval or recommendation.	Register
September 11th – December 11st 2024 Arrillaga Recreation Juniper Room 700 Alma St, Menlo Park, CA.	5:45 pm – Wednesdays Beginners Traditional Karate. Best class for beginners with some past martial art experience or the more athletic player.	Register
September 11th – December 11st 2024 Arrillaga Recreation Juniper Room 700 Alma St, Menlo Park, CA.	7:00 pm – Wednesdays Experienced Traditional Karate. Beginners may attend the experienced class and vice versa with instructor approval or recommendation.	Register

• Saturday –  Japan-town San Jose 
  • 4 pm temporarily suspended (This facility has a primary purpose to community elderly).

• Saturday –  Stanford / Menlo Park outdoors at Arrillaga Recreation.
  •  +ZOOMcast and special training sessions for make-up class, competition and grading preparation.

Access doors (for indoor training) may remain open, regardless of climate and face mask requirements.

Beginners may participate in the experienced class if they cannot attend their session and vice-versa. We can never have enough basic training. Supplementary (Sunday) class covers general training, advanced Kata, kobujutsu (weapons / Kobudō) and training for pre-grading or pre-competition.

  • Face masks are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for indoor training & both exit doors may remain open for ventilation.
  • Hybrid (ZOOM) access for known and approved viewers and participants only.
  • Drop-ins welcome.

Structure is necessary while attending class either in the dojo or remote video training. Please refrain from distractions such as answering your phone or taking selfies. Also, stay in frame of the camera and ask others in your household for private time to focus and always participate.

• Tuition remittance for Menlo Park Recreation should be paid directly to the governing city agency at the front desk. Tuition remittance for off site sessions, Shelter in place, and/or remote video training should be sent via PayPal or Venmo in a timely manner.
  • Please save your digital receipts.
  • SKSV tuition is tax deductible (SEIWAKAI KARATE SILICON VALLEY is a registered non-profit).

In the very near future – depending on my evolving work schedule, all schedules may be revised until my hours are set to Monday – Friday. Until then I’ll continue to expand the available classes at our primary location of Menlo Park recreation.
